So… I am a little confused. Is the ball able to touch the robot at the same time it is touching the goal? I understand the game manual says, “An alliance scores a goal once a ball is no longer in contact with a robot and has fully passed through a target.”, but does this mean a ball can not be touching the robot and goal at the same time or just that it is in the score zone after touching the robot? Sorry if it is a little confusing.
A robot can score a ball while touching the goal, just the score will not increase until the robot is not touching the ball anymore. For example, a robot using a claw holding the ball can be used to score as long as it is not breaking other rules, just the ball needs to meet all the definitions of a scored ball before it can count.
