@Rick TYler I thought your original post and your response (defining humor) was pretty funny and pretty inoffensive. I actually laughed when I read your second one.

That said, Advanced Placement United States History is usually referred to as APUSH in high school. It’s a lot shorter and saves everyone a lot of time. I don’t see anything wrong with using imperfect English as long as everyone understands what you mean. “APUSH” isn’t a word, but it saves us all 9 syllables.

“APUSH” is an acronym, much like the USA PATRIOT Act. Passing air over your vocal cords in such a way as to pronounce the acronym “USA PATRIOT Act” is much shorter than saying “Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001.”

Is there a way we can lock this thread? I believe everybody has said what they needed to say as far as the initial point of this post and it has become really off topic.
Every time I see a response hoping that another team would be interested in having a scrimmage and yet I am disappointed to see people talking about grammar.
