This might be a dumb question but are sensors allowed in v5 for this year? There was a tutorial in the software so are we allowed to use sensors this year?

Yes. Why would sensors not be allowed? That would seem to be a dumb decision for the RECF to not allow students to do good engineering instead of guessing times for moving motors and such. Why would you think this, and are there some misconceptions going around that need to get cleared up?
Yes. There was a misconception that sensors will not be allowed with v5. Last year our coach made us give back all of the sensors. I think they might give them back but I am not sure.
V5 has 8 legacy 3-wire ports. These work with all sensors.
