Sent to wait list for late pament even though the deadline is 2 weeks away

My team recently got pushed to the wait list due to us not paying for the event. However, the payment deadline is not untill March 1st.

We were only told in an email sent the day before yesterday that we had one day to pay. Sadly, my coach did not see the email as it was identified as junk and se had a migraine. The deadline on robot events was never changed either. Is this allowed?

Have your mentor contact the EP and see what they say. Action paths are never on the Vexforum, they are always with the EP and RECF for events and with VEX for broken items.

(I’ve often used the not my circus line to say “It’s none of my business”, but I have thrown people by going “This is MY circus, keep YOUR clowns home.” YMMV)

Okay, my coach has pursuaded the EP to push us to the top of the wait list so we will be the first one into the event if anyone drops out.

Is this a common thing? Having the payment deadline like it is here?

I think the clue would have been that the competition is on 22 Feb, many (most?) EPs would want payment before the competition.
