Girl Powered to Coincide with the International Day of the Girl!
The REC Foundation and VEX Robotics are working to make robotics reflective of the diverse world we live in, and the one we want to leave behind. We’re committed to showing how exciting it is to be involved with STEM, showcasing examples of how women are changing the world, providing tools for success, and enabling comfortable environments where all students’ confidence and abilities can flourish. We are inviting teachers, coaches, partners, and mentors to host a Girl Powered event between October 6-15, 2017, to coincide with the International Day of the Girl. The first 100 events registered on RobotEvents.com will receive a special event toolkit that will include giveaways, marketing materials, and activity ideas. If you are not registered as an Event Partner you can submit your event details here and our team will register it on RobotEvents.com. Visit GirlPowered.com today to learn more!
Sponsor Spotlight: Autodesk
Autodesk, a global software company helping people imagine, design, and create a better world, is this month’s featured sponsor. Autodesk gives students, educators, and educational institutions free access to professional design software, creativity apps, and real-world projects to inspire and engage students. We think they’re great because they support the REC Foundation as a curriculum partner, a VEX Worlds Sponsor, and Autodesk Make It Real CAD Engineering Challenge Sponsor. Autodesk also provides opportunities for students to continue to grow skills in Robotics. Design a robot of the future and submit to their Design for Robotics challenge for a chance to earn great prizes. Attend an online conference and learn about the future of robotics and other exciting technology trends.
