shaft encoders resistance

(Cortex - for 393 motors ) When we run all the wheels without resistance (with wheels up), we see that the wheels with (external) shaft encoders have high resistance … they start very late and are very slow. Any ideas on how to circumvent that ? or - is it what it is ?

Shaft encoders have little to no resistance at all. Check to see that they are mounted properly, or that there isn’t something wrong with them.

mine never affect the shaft resistance

What are you using the shaft encoders for? This can play a fairly big role in importance of Shaft Encoder placement.

They have enough friction to be worrysome if you have placed it poorly on a flywheel. As @Ryan_26982E said, check to see if it is mounted properly.

It was placement issue … thanks.
