Shared Power Mogo Lift?

So, I’m on the cusp of a major rebuild, and I’ve been seeing more and more shared power mogo intakes like Antichamber’s. I was wondering, do you thing shared power mogo lifts are a good idea? what are some advantages and disadvantages?
Here’s what I’m considering, but these are really just guesses, please correct me:
Pro

  • Save a motor
  • strong and fast mogo lift
    Con
  • added friction on drive
  • added complexity
  • added weight?
  • mogo lift might be too fast
  • can’t drive while lifting

The shared power mogo lift is not too complex. Antichamber has posted several videos about it, and although it’s more complicated than a simple base, it shouldn’t be too hard (at least to build). I don’t know if it really adds a significant amound of weight (plus, it’s on the base, so the small amount doesn’t matter too much).

This thread has a lot of information about it. It is possible to move the lift while driving, although the software aspect may be a bit difficult.

In my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons, although implementation may be a bit difficult.

if you are going to do shared motors and you’re not going to copy what’s already been done, be prepared to spend a lot of time figuring out how to do it. The basic concept is simple, but it’s hard to do well.
