Shooter Backlash

As seen in the “Shooter Transmission” forum, I have experienced issues with Backlash or slop. This is certainly due to the affects on the amount of gears used in the transmission, however it seems that is very difficult to use fewer gears with my task. I plan to have 2 individual gear boxes with 3 motors on each. this would then distribute to the flywheel, shooter, punch, and eventual lift.

Does anyone have any suggestions to reduce backlash or reduce the amount of gears used in this
transmission

Never mind, misread the question

Not quite sure, but it might help if you mounted your motors on multiple sides of the driven axle instead of having them all on top.
