My team is using single acting pistons for our wings, but one of our pistons stopped retracting all the way. We currently have no other pistons left, and I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and has a way to fix it.
This is not vex iq. @admin please change
SIngle action pistons tend to pull back with less power, which means you might need a rubber band to help boost it. You could wrap a rubber band from the front of the piston to the back, to pull it shut when the air gets released, or one on the wing to pull it shut. A photo would be extremeley helpull as well.

If you disconnect one end of your single acting air cylinder, does it retract smoothly and normally? If not, then you’ve bent the air cylinder’s piston rod, in which case you’ll need a new air cylinder.
