That’s great. I see a rubber band going over all the horizontal bands on the top roller. Is that so that the balls will want to go to the middle instead of out of the sides, due to the hourglass-shape in it? If so, That is a really good Idea.

You could always ratchet it to your flywheel
the discard involves the flywheel trying to score
If the flywheel is weighted enough it will continue to spin during the brief time that the motor reverses to trigger the discarder, especially if it’s a smooth ratchet. done right it could be op
edit: you could even combine it with a pooper and have two different ways of discarding which could be helpful for advanced match programming down the line
i must say that this is one of the most advance VRC robots that I have seen so far… ever since OYES VexU robot.
and they made full use of the flexibility given to VexU teams. Well done!
PS… i have been telling my teams many times before - it is possible to 3D-print the entire robot!
3D-printed materials make the design very flexible, but it’s more fragile than metal, and they’re really easy to be broken in a fierce match because they’re a lot of hollows inside like a beehive.
Hence we brought a lot of back up 3D units to the World Championship.
If you increase the compactness, it will take much longer time to print and increase the weight
Think the choice of filament will be the most crucial over here?
but that will also indirectly means that those teams that can afford better 3D-printers will have a competitive advantage.
