Skills Challenge World Rankings as of March 2nd

1. One of our teams was qualified in the Top 30 as of midnight at the end of March 2nd. On March 3rd they are now below 30.

are they still qualified for Top 30 World ranking?

a) What is the cut off time for the Top 30 ranking?
b) When will invitations for World’s be sent for Skills/Programming for the Top 30?
c) What is the calculation for the Top 30? We have 2 teams with the same Skills score but one made the Top 30 cut off on March 2nd and 1 team was below. Why are they not tied?

I’ll simplify it for you – the cutoff is for events **held **by March 2, not scores uploaded by March 2. Not all events from the weekend have been uploaded to the system yet, and a couple of them have had upload issues. The list will PROBABLY be final tomorrow. Sorry to make you wait, but sometimes it takes the event partners a day or two to get their events uploaded.

Invitations will go out this week.

The calculation is the same one TMS uses to break ties in skills scores in local events. If more than one team has the same score, the system will then look at each team’s second-highest score. If the second-highest scores are tied, it will look at the third-highest score. And so on.
