This question may seem stupid, but I’m slightly confused when reading the game manual. During the skills, do triballs on the field count towards points? For example, if I match load 5 triballs onto the other side of the bar and 2 fall behind the pipe, will those 7 triballs count toward our score if they are not pushed into the goal? Will we get 14 points added to our score or do triballs on the field not count for skills?

First up, rule RSC1 tells you that all rules of “the game” apply to skills, except as modified; therefore, scoring is based on the game rules, except for the update of RSC4. Read subpoints “c” and “d” and see if this answers your question.
Only on the opposite side of the bar relative to where you start, also known as the opposite offensive zone.
Everything on the opposite side of where you stand (your driver station) counts towards points just like in a match. 2 points if they just chill outside the goal in your offensive zone and 5 points UNDER the net of the goal. If by “behind the pipe” you mean the triangles in the corners, then again, same as match, no scoring there. So in your case (if I understood the whole bars and pipes thing correctly) - 10 points.
“Behind the pipe” refers to behind the pipe in the middle of the field. Also understanding the points you gave me, if I launch 4 triballs to the red offense zone and 2 are in the blue offensive zone, I would get 8 points?
