Are the skills challenge results on the robotevents.com website and the vex via app accurate as our head referee said that he had another scoring sheet of the skills’ score in the tournament to decide the award and those scores were not updated on the website at that time
Depends - if Tournament Manager is configured to send results to RobotEvents, then VEX Via should have them. Also note that if paper score sheets, the scores may updated in batches.
Idk cause at first I could still see the results being lively reported on robotevents and vex via but later he said that there are some other results that was not reported on the web
Likely because they are scoring on paper and it takes time for TM operator to enter them. We resorted to that route for MS championship because it allowed us to have skilled scorers run skills field and not worry about data entry - they leads to more skills runs. I think teams would want that.
My gut is telling me, in future events no need to publish skills scores during event… let the Robot Skill Challenge Champion actually be a surprise!
Maybe in IQ. This would make alliance selection a mess for VRC. Teams that didn’t make plans would have no idea who is good and who is not.
Do you know what’s the deadline for entering the scores over the web or system sth… as it was one of our first world-qualified tournament and we want to know where we truly stand
alliance selection is always messy !
