SOS How do I release the breaks?

Capture
How do I stop the motors from breaking? Because when our lift is being held by them, they overheat, so we’re trying to toggle the break.

In order to “stop” the breaks you need to give the motor a new command. One way you could do this is by setting the motors to

(motor).stop(brakeType::coast);

In driver, you can use the buttons to resume the lift. The robot would hold the lift in place when neither button is pressed:

        if(Controller1.ButtonUp.pressing()) {
            LiftR.spin(directionType::fwd);
            LiftL.spin(directionType::fwd);
        }
        else if(Controller1.ButtonDown.pressing()) {
            LiftR.spin(directionType::rev);
            LiftL.spin(directionType::rev);
        }
        else {
            LiftR.stop(brakeType::hold);
            LiftL.stop(brakeType::hold);
        }
