Rereading this and I have 0 idea what I was trying to say.
Karthik banned each additional account as it was used to generate spam.
Seems like this user is for advertising a service:

Are people just spamming for fun?
So much spam
Does anyone remember the names of the accounts that were spamming? I need to make sure that these accounts were properly deleted.
Thanks,
- Dillon
Karthik deleted the account I believe. It was 1 account doing all the spamming. Ask him if you need the account name.
Yay more spam! (JK spam is evil)

do people really think the vex forum is the best place to advertise… just go spam reddit or something, a lot more people will see it there anyways lol
i agreed, it ceartinly annoying
I am going to point out responding to the spam just makes you look like spam as well. I would suggest leaving all threads made my spammed alone.
If it were up to me, I would migrate our Forum to Stack Exchange. More reputable users have the ability to remove spam posts, and other moderation abilities which would ease the load of the mods. It’s honestly the best and most balanced forum system I’ve ever seen, and something to model our new forum off of even if we don’t.
Okay it is all gone. Karthik handled it but we should still continue this discussion.
Yes, thank you Karthik. After yesterday’s spam it does seem that if more reputable users were able to delete a convo that this stuff could go away faster. But couldn’t there be something automatic and programmed into the forum, like it has certain key words (gears, starstruck, robot, etc.) that if the title of the convo is not pertaining to robotics it gives a notification to whoever handles the forum and they could delete it faster.
I think that users should be limited to starting one thread over 20 minutes (like reddit) it eliminates spam. I’m not sure how hard this would be to do in esoTalk, but I think it’s important and necessary.
And here I was thinking that I could just go to bed at 2 in the morning…
Spam has been cleaned up.
Due to the attacks that have been happening over the past couple of days, I’ve turned on Admin approval for new accounts. I’ll leave it on for a few days to see if it dies down. If anyone needs their account approval expedited, please send me an e-mail.
@yeeminhooo is spamming again.
