naww, just 2 seasons, lotsa new OP vex products
and lots of old teams with the “core” group graduated
and many new “elite” teams rising from all over!

Huh… So the munchkins got a ton of new toys and have it easier than ever?

Making me feel old man! I recently went back to my HS lab to teach some kids Java for a Harris thing. It was weird, being back at my high school after 3-4 years, I really didn’t want to be there. It felt wrong.

They had an holonomic drive that looked like mine did back in Elevation with a few modifications :smiley:

Anyway I’ve been trying to not say controversial things on here, but I really don’t like the game this year, nor did I like Gateway. Pretty much any game where they bisect the field, like they did in Clean Sweep and Gateway isn’t fun. That and Sack Attach is basically Bridge Battle with well sacks instead of balls (God that sounds wrong, oh well they asked for it).

pretty much bridgebattle 2
but remember, in the original bridge batte, EVERYONE was a “rookie” (first year)
now we have 5+ year vets with a bucketful of new parts
designs go a long way…

I would say my favorite games in order are

  1. Round Up
  2. Sack Attack
  3. Elevation
  4. Clean Sweep
  5. Gateway

I was not around for bridge battle, so no comment

I’d say…

  1. Round Up (the animation + Josh’s crazy as hell robot made it for me)
  2. Elevation (my last high school event where we rocked it hard)
  3. Quad Quandary (my first robotics game ever, also where I met Catherine)
  4. Gateway (it was fun to MC at the Piratech event and TNT)
  5. Clean Sweep (bad memories, freaking spindle aahhhhh!! Cool game though)
  6. Sack Attack (didn’t get involved at all, and the designs seem boring to me)
  7. Bridge Battle (California was fun but our bot sucked, oh well)
