What do you do if there is a violation of T1, by the head referee not telling what rule you violated.
According to T1
“When issuing a Major Violation or Minor Violation to a Team, Head Referees must provide the rule number of the specific rule that has been Violated, and record the Violation on the Match Anomaly Log”
IDK what you do, but show the rule T1b to the judge
T1.B is clear - Head Referee must record the specific rule that was violated in Match anomaly report. So stay in Alliance Station (your right to appeal) and ask to see the Match Anomaly report entry before leaving Alliance station. If Head Referee refuses, ask the Event Partner to contact their regional event support manager as to how to proceed as they have affirmed a commitment to excellence for events.
Note that the scenario should be extremely rare in regions with experienced certified Head Referees and Event partners. That said, if you are an emerging new region or venue - expect some missteps. I do recall at Worlds where a team refused to leave alliance station until issue was explained.
Post event, contact your RECF Team Engagement Manager & event EP to raise your concerns.
If the head referee continues not to listen, could it be a violation of G1 for the head referee.
Quick question, is this hypothetically or did it actually happen?
This actually happened
Reminder to be polite and show the rule requiring disclosure. I say this because IF you got dinged for attitude/etc… you don’t want to open yourself up for further instances/escalations by being rude.
