Good morning all,
which one do you think is more efficient a stacker bot that stacks the blocks or a bot focused on the towers so that it can put blocks according to the color of the stacked ones to get more points?

Doing both would be best…
If you have to pick from a robot that can ONLY place in towers or a robot that can ONLY place in the scoring zone, placing in scoring zones is usually better.
Really, you should use a design matrix in your engineering notebook
I would say that a stacker bot would be better at skills. It can put cubes in all but the highest tower and can create stacks as high as 12 cubes. It can also score up to 9-10 cubes in the autonomous period (look at the Chinese Middle School Finals for a good example of this).
I got the wrong message, I thought the stacker bot would not be able to score. If it can. The stacker is OP
Most stackers have a 2-bar that has the intake rollers attached to them. Goofy is a great example of this
I agree with the stacker. If you have a long enough stacker (approx. 7+ cubes), the tray can also passively place cubes in towers, if you don’t have a lift conntected with the intake.
That’s how the highest match score so far was achieved. One of the robots was able to place a cube in the highest tower by having it fall out the back of the tray (they also faced against 2 robots that weren’t able to score that much or contest towers).
Do you mean by like Tray Bot , and a Dr4b which one is better?
If You meant TrayBot or DR4B, then It would depend on which strategy you would want to play out, because each type of robot has a different strategy they do. Like a Dr4b, you can do towers somewhat effiecient, and have the advantage of height, which you can stack on top of tray bots. This is also pretty good because there is like 80% tray bots in this season. Dr4bs, they can pick up premade cubes on the field, but they can’t pick up cubes as fast as a tray bot.
TrayBots, can pick up really fast especially, when the cubes are disorganized. They can stack high and are pretty efficient when tuned up well. Tray Bots, make a good alliance partner because of their skill of stacking, but when three stacks go up, there is not much to do.
Or you could have a dr4b tray 9r some other blend of lift and traybot
