Standoff extenders

Whenever i put extenders on the standoff, the extender never comes off, any tips for taking them out?

I usually stick a screwdriver in the other end, hold really tight on the extender, then push.

I use the another vex piece to take it off, like a 1x beam. Hopefully they arent super stuck because then you may need to use something like plyers
