Starstruck Online Challenges

Hello,

In a past post, it was stated that the new online challenges would be released right after Worlds.
When I checked the REC Online Challenges website, it just shows the past winners.
Does anyone know when/where the 2016-2017 online challenges are?
Thank you.

Some of them are listed here 2017 Challenges | Online Challenges
Sponsored challenges seem to take a bit longer to be finalized which is probably delaying official announcement until they’re confirmed.

I was looking for them too, they are probably still being finalized

Hi folks - we’ve been making some cool changes to our website over the past few weeks, and when the 2016-2017 Online Challenges are ready shortly in the fall, we’ll post them here: http://challenges.robotevents.com/
Right now you can still view the winners of the previous season’s challenges. We’ll send out an announcement when this season’s challenges are ready to open. Thanks!

Janice,
Understand that the 2016-17 OnLine Challenges will be revealed in the fall.
When is the date they will be open to view?

We are currently targeting Sept 7, 2016 as the release date for Online Challenges.

The Online Challenges have been pretty much the same with some added through the year.
Heard that RECF will be shaking things up & making some changes.
Does that mean the prior challenges will not be available for 2016-17?
I understand that part of the answer will be, I’ll need to be patient until 9-7-2016.

You’ll see some familiar online challenges with slight variations, some remaining the same, and also a brand new one we’re excited to share!

Thank you… can’t wait to see what is in store for us!

The 2017 Online Challenges are finally up! Check them out. http://challenges.robotevents.com/season/9/challenge

Is there a limit to how many challenges a team can submit?

Does anybody know when the Starstruck referee videos are coming out? Sort of irrelevant to the topic but now that the online challenges are out, I figured the videos might be close to follow.

I am pretty sure there isn’t any limit.

Just by skimming the Requirements of each section, this is what I found. Make sure if you are going to enter an online challenge that you read all of the requirements and judging info before you post your entry.

EMC Robotics Team/ Club Website Challenge
-“There may only be one website entry per school/organization/club.”

Girl Powered: In Her Words Storybook Challenge
-“No team may submit more than one entry, but each team in a multi-team school or club program may enter this competition. For example, teams 123A and 123B could each submit a storybook, but team 123A could not submit two storybooks.”

Make it Real CAD Engineering Challenge
-No mention of any limits

Texas Instruments Electronics Online Challenge
-No mention of any limits

VEX Robotics Photography Challenge
-“Only one photo may be submitted per person, so pick your best!”

VRC Game Design Animation Challenge
-No mention of any limits

VEX IQ Challenge Promote Award
-“No team may submit more than one entry, but each team in a multi-team school or club program may enter this competition. For example, teams 123A and 123B could each submit a video, but team 123A could not submit two videos.”

VEX Robotics Competition Promote Award
-“No team may submit more than one entry, but each team in a multi-team school or club program may enter this competition. For example, teams 123A and 123B could each submit a video, but team 123A could not submit two videos.”

REC Foundation STEM Educational Video
-No mention of any limits

FUTURE Foundation Robot Construction Challenge
-No mention of any limits

The Referee Guide is scheduled to come out mid-September according to roboticseducation.org event partner section for volunteers.

@Aiden Pyle I meant limits on how many challenges a team can do.
For example, a team submitting challenges for “VRC Game Design Animation Challenge” and “VEX Robotics Competition Promote Award”.
Sorry for being unclear.
It doesn’t seem like there are any limits but I just wanted to be sure before my team does several challenges.

You can enter every single challenge for which you meet the age and program requirements. For example, a VRC team could not enter the VEX IQ Challenge Promote Award.

Oh ok.
Thank you for the clarification.

Sorry about that. It looks like Rick Tyler cleared it up.
