Starting Postion

Hello! The rule on starting position states the 11x11x12 with the note: Robots may hang outside of this box, provided they do not touch any other part of the field. Robots may expand beyond their starting size constraints after the start of a match.

I just want to clarify my 2 questions are:

1. The height can not start higher than 12 inches?
2. The length/width could be longer than 11 inches provided it’s not touching anything or the floor? I have a team that has the wheels and chassis within the parameters but their wheel axles and the intake system stretch longer than 11 inches (not above a height of 12 inches.

Here are the responses to your two questions.

1. Yes, robots may not start the match taller than 12".
2. Yes, this is correct. Anything touching the floor, must be within a 11"x11" starting tile, however you may extender further, provided none of these extensions touch the ground.
