My team (and others) have already qualified for MD State championship (at REX Hosts Toss Up) and it is now posted. BUT registration does not open till Oct 1. BUT according to the rules we are supposed to register within 4 weeks of qualifying. Is this a event partner issue or RECF?
Also RobotEvents says the 2014 State Championship Excellence qualifies for the 2013 VEX World Championship. That I’m fairly sure is a RECF issue that will need fixed.
I would highly recommend you get in touch with the RECF folks through email, either with the regional manager, currently listed as Brad Lauer, but soon to be a new person or [email protected].
Has RECF succeeded in getting new representatives in all of the regions where they lost them? Just out of curiosity, i understand if you can’t answer that.
Questions about a specific event are best addressed to the event partner (tournament organizer) of that event, through their email address posted in the event description on Robot Events. If you send your question to REC Foundation, we will have to contact the event partner anyway, so you can save a step.
Any question for the REC Foundation can always be directed to [email protected] for general questions, or check the Contact Us page for other options.
I answered Stan’s question via email a couple days ago. But for others who are curious, I am told that RECF does not have the Robot Events registration ready yet to handle State Championship qualifications, so we will catch up on teams that have already qualified once the system is ready. They will not lose their spot.
