Hey all!
For states with less than 50 registered teams, how many teams must compete at a tournament for the winning alliance to move on to the state competition?
Is there anywhere where I can read more on how teams advance to state contests?

Here is a link to the qualifying criteria for the state competitions and the world competition. This should have all the info you are looking for.
From what I understand this is decided by your state’s event partners and RECF rep. The goal seems to be to fill up States, but stay within the limits of the state championship venue. And of course, qualifying should be challenging to raise the level of play at States and keep teams innovating.
