Stopping Catapult at set position

Hi everyone,
We’re looking for ways to have our catapult return to a default position. Sensors, stoppers, etc. are all open to suggestion if you have ideas.

Almost every catapult I’ve seen uses a limitswitch, you’ll probably find lots of resources for that if you search for catapult designs in the forum search bar

If you do a slip gear catapult then it will go the same distance each time.

Like 96428 said, using a slip gear it always goes to a set postion. Combibning this with a limit switch or encoder. You could pause it at a perfect spot electronicly, and release it at the same spot mechanicly.
