Storage of Vex parts?

Hate to break it to you guys but that picture is Photoshoped. Keep in mind I’m certified in Adobe Photoshop.

Beach is one picture, girl with cart is another. I will give them this much, they smudged the sand to make it look like tracks.

Anyway, $150 seems like alot to me, but it is a nice cart. One FRC team was going to gut a Barbie toy motorized jeep (kind 4yr olds ride in) and use it as a cart, the jeep was donated. I don’t think they ever got around to it but we did have some fun with that sucker in the shop.

yeah notice that the front wheel magically leaves no tracks

Did you make the cabinets yourselves? or did you purchase? from who?

yo … i have 2 of these

and i have a 19" tool box with things that come to the field with me (laptop/hardware kit/allen keys/spare parts/batteries/controller/flags etc)

We switched team boxes to these Keter toolboxes this year since our favorite Plano boxes are no longer available. Plus the Plano plastic latches started to give on some boxes.

They stack so easily and are really strudy!

Although the deeper model seesm to be cheaper at HD

We use a variety of plastic boxes from the old Plano boxes for gears, shafts, spacers, sensors, and the like, but for big boxes of metal we use re-usable moving boxes like these:

Only downside is small cut metal bits tend to sift to the bottom. So to find that one piece that might fit requires some digging. So recommend small metal should be in a smaller box. 12" or longer should be in the stackables.](http://prelead.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/plastic-moving-box.jpg )

You guys do realize that you have revived a thread that was previously dead since 2009, right?

There is no problem with reviving a legit topic, I just wouldn’t get my hopes up that you will get many answers from the original contributors.

Some are probably still around. Several are probably inactive now.

From what I recall of this and similar threads, there are plenty of links to off-the-shelf, deep, stackable (or pre-stacked) products that work well.

All of our teams have these, we find they work very well and have compartments for every sized piece.

%between%

my team uses one of these. we keep the big stuff in the bottom. remote and batteries in the next one up. motors and sensors the next up and than we keep 2 clear parts organizers in the top with all of the screws and nuts and stuff. This works well because we can remove the containers of hardware and bring them to right where we are working. This has worked sell for us.
