Swish Catapult Going up slowly

We just configured Swish. Everything worked but the launcher. However the catapult goes down and then up slowly. When we touch the green mechanism it shoots. We have gen 2 brain and remote. Any recommendations?

One of the teams at our school had this problem & got it fixed by their code.
Can you please share your code, & also what do you mean by “green mechanism”?

can we see a video and pictures of the bot?

@NoFearJustGears had a similar problem on this topic.

Hello,
Thank you for your input. The green mechanism is the catapult gear, the part that looks green on the picture. As for code, we just downloaded the sample program.

My team built swish and we tried to adjust the catapult. It did not work, and we started to have the same problem. Try adding more/stronger rubber bands to the ratcheter (The green thing). If that does not work, try rebuilding the thing with the gears that connects to the spool. That is what my team did, and that fixed the problem. The ratcheter is what makes the catapult go up, because it prevents the green gear from spinning to make the catapult go up slowly. The ratcheter is not touching the gear enough, so the gear can make the catapult go up.

Sometimes it’s just easier to rebuild then trouble shoot so I would almost just take out the entire winch piece and disassemble it. It probably wouldn’t take more than an hour and would be faster than troubleshooting

Yes, I might have to do that. Thank you!
