Sync bot to joystick

One of our teams had to switch joysticks because a piece was damaged. They tried pairing the new joystick to the CPU with the orange cord, all buttons turned green, but then 3 of the 4 wheels started spinning on their own and no button or channel would control the bot. Any suggestions?

Make sure all the firmware is up to date, perhaps re-download the ROBOTC VM and your program.
