Our team is building an off-season (t-shirt cannon) robot for promotional reasons. We have a rolling first c-frame controlled by a vex cortex. But we (my teacher) are/is completely lost with the pneumatic portion of the robot. We know we need 12 volt compressors, accumulator tank, mac solenoid valve, tank reservoir, vex pro spike relay modules, and some sort of barrel. Can someone please help us with picking out the correct parts/where to buy and blueprints. We’ve done research on vex forums and chiefdelphi.
Thanks,
carver robotics, team 2049
You’re better off looking for help in the ChiefDelphi forums, I think
People here are mostly used to the tiny solenoids and pistons of the Vex robots.
And while you’re at it, why not check out our team’s T-Shirt launcher?
I’m going to agree with carverrobotics, you might want to check out the Website Design award winner for this year, Team 254. They build a T-Shirt shooter. Here’s the link
That looks super cool.
What would one of those cost to build? Like, a complete set of parts? We have around 75 T-Shirts sitting in a box in our Robotics lab, and firing them into the crowd at Worlds sounds like a great idea.
