Tank Treads Help

Greetings,

I am a first year STEM teacher using the VEX IQ robot kits. My students (and I) are interested in using the tank treads. My question is, how do you easily and safely split apart the tank treads so that they can be used? I have tried to work the angle or the connectors gently but I broke one of the connectors.

Usually its pretty easy to break apart the chain. Just use a flat screwdriver to gently pry-up one side of a link and slide it out, if you have a few broken links just reach out to our Customer Service Department and we will be happy to mail you some spare links.
