Team 254 - 2010

It’s that time of year again when we release our World Championship robot specs to the wide world. Good luck to all competing at Dallas, and be sure to stop by our pits.

I had to split this in two because a maximum of five images are allowed per post. Some images are not yet uploaded but will be in the near future. Dashes denote an unknown quantity, usually because the robot has not been tested due to a rebuild.

254F and S will not be joining the group in Dallas this year - although 254S did receive a qualification, it was actually 254C’s robot and driver at the tournament, so we elected to turn down the Dallas invitation. 254F worked hard the entire season on its arsenal of weirdness but was not able to carry any single robot to the world stage.

On a more personal note, this will be my last year competing in VRC as a part of 254. Since freshman year, I’ve seen our club expand from a near-pointless sideshow to an internationally recognized team, which has been made possible by the hard work of our team members. Please ask them any questions you might have - they’ll be more than happy to answer them.

Next year’s 254A will be a totally different crew, as most of the current team is graduating.

Signed,

John Mueller, Founder and Captain, 254 Vex

cant see the pics in the second post
anyone else have the same problem?
a few questions about 254A:
what is the ball capacity? (oranges)
how heavy is it?
thx
looking forward to see you guys in action at worlds

Most of the pictures are not uploaded yet but will be soon.

254A typically holds 3 medium balls and 2 or 3 small balls which squeeze in. It can hold 4 medium balls but we opt not to do so in competition. It is 18 lbs with two batteries on board.

Not a single pic-_-
