Are those front wheels passive?

You can easily turn that lifter mechanism into a 4-bar to keep the claw level, could make it much easier to drive for y’all.

Nice custom claw! It seems very well designed. I also like how you stabilized it.
Like stated, the arm can be turned into a dr4b, although with a single cube claw it isn’t much of an issue. However, if you want a multi cube intake mechanism, then a dr4b is pretty much required.

The Front wheels have no motors so I would say they are passive.
Also in the video description it shows the robot only uses 4 motors.

This is pretty good for a day. What are your plans for a more long term robot?

The robot is still a work in progress and has a lot of fixable issues. Due to the time we had to build this robot 1 day, it is very basic and unstable.

Coming into the school year we are going to try to build a DR4B or a cube in take mechanism. Since we only had a day to build the robot we had to go with something simple and effective.
This project was built in a 2 week long Vex camp but we ended up going with the 4 bar claw-bot because on the last two days our DR4B collapsed leaving us with no options but make a basic 4 bar claw bot.

Why didn’t you use sprockets and chain to make the front wheels active. It would definitely help with movement.

Well for a 24 hour build thats not bad at all.
