This went out to VEX teams today:

Greetings VEX Robotics Competition Teams,

The 2010 VEX Robotics World Championship is fast approaching! 400 teams will be arriving in Dallas in just two weeks, and while they (and we) are preparing daily for the VEX Robotics World Championship, we’ve got some other important announcements to share with everyone:
Online Design Challenge Winners Announced

We’re proud to announce that the final results are in for the 2010 Online Design Challenges on RobotEvents.com. The judges were so impressed and had a difficult time, as there were so many incredible entries submitted. Congratulations, not only to the winners, but everyone who created an entry! The innovation, creativity and quality of all the entries was amazing - it’s clear that LOTS of hard work went into them all. The final results can be found here: http://forum.RobotEvents.com/design/

2010 VEX World Championship to be webcast and broadcast on NASA TV

NASA will once again support the VEX Robotics World Championship with webcasts and coverage on NASA TV. More details and exact links will be posted on the event page the week of the event, but we wanted everyone at home to know that they will be able to watch and cheer for their favorite and local teams throughout the competition.

The current schedule for the World Championship can be found on the event page, where a minor addition to the end of the day on Friday, April 23 can be seen regarding the game for the next season: http://RobotEvents.com/2010-vrc-world-championship

The 2010 VEX Robotics Competition season has been an incredible success and we can’t wait to see the amazing competition and excitement in Dallas at the World Championship in two weeks. We’re just as excited about the new 2010-2011 season, which should be even bigger and better (with a number of great announcements being made at the World Championship). Everyone around the world will be able to see and hear the announcements thanks to NASA and the webcasts.

That’s it for now. We’ll see over 400 of you in Dallas in just two weeks!

Congradulations to ALL who entered the online challenges.

I guess this excludes the Autodesk® Inventor® 2010 Digital Prototyping challenge? Because the winners are not announced yet for that.

Watch for news today…

There was a call for additional information from a few of those entries thus a delay.

Are the essay winners not announced yet, or am I blind? Either are equally likely, heheh…:smiley:

You are correct they are not posted yet, so you aren’t blind  probably a good thing.

The Autodesk® Inventor® 2010 Digital Prototyping award winners are now posted: http://forum.robotevents.com/design/challenge/detail/64

The VEX Robotics Essay Contest is being evaluated by a different group of volunteer judges and there are a LOT of entries to judge! It will still be a little while until they are done.
