Are there any rules or restrictions on team names? Our team is trying to get sponsorships for worlds, and we thought it would be cool if we could name our team after a company that sponsors us. I don’t see why this wouldn’t be allowed, but there might be some rules against advertising. Does anyone know if this has been a rule in the past? Could I get and official answer from a vex representative?
Look, they let a team named OPS BIG DADDY into the Round Robin, I don’t think being named after a sponsor would get you in trouble.
Typically the only rule is that it isn’t profane, but team names aren’t prohibited just for that.

You should look at the teams list for AZ on robotevents.com. One team name is so long that it doesn’t fit on the page.
