I wish I had a team. Is there a age requirement?
to have either an FVC or FVC team, you have to be in highschool. i am in my second year of FRC and highschool.

well, you can find out if your highschool will have a team or not. if they do, you could probably arrange a meeting to go and see what they have accomplished. part of FIRST is reaching out to the community, so helping you will also help them.
if your school does not have a team, then get in the game and start one. that is what my parents and i did last year, we all went to the 2004 NJ regional. once we saw these incredible robots, we had to start a team. so a year later, we have a team of maybe 20 people, a couple of great sponsors, and we are attending the NJ and NYC regional events. Go team 1807:D

Age requierments are important! Without any age requierment, a 5-year-old will be able to go to a “M” movie!:eek: Thats not right!!!

You DO NOT have to be in High School to be in a VEX competition because we went to the one in Farmville, VA and there were two middle school teams there, one of which won (because they were in an alliance with both, almost identical robots with Gar-Field High School).
I’m in 8th grade now but I’ve been doing robotics since the beginning of 6th grade and now i lead/instruct all the robotics clubs.
