As you can see in the video below we have a large gear ratio to spin a rubber band for our tensioner. However after replacing the plate it started tilting so bad it no longer made contact. It would tilt before but not as much. Why is it doing this and how do i fix it. I have a video but I’m not sure how to upload it.
To upload, you can click on this:
Then select your file, to upload.
I have heard about a myth of new users not being able to upload, but I’m not sure if that’s true.
you have to make the video public. i requested accsess to view it.
It says not supported file type it was shot on iPhone then emailed to myself.
I’d suggest adding another beam or plate on the inside/motor side to create a gear box that will reinforce the strain on the gear by distributing it along the shaft to the beams on either side while also not giving the gear anywhere to slip/lean to. I’ve attached a picture illustrating this.
Also, I can’t quite tell but is that a plastic shaft coming out of the motor as the output? If so, you’ll definitely want to swap that out with a metal shaft.
Thanks for the help added the plate today and it worked great.
