An online challenge appeared this year for Texas teams to submit a video.

The prize is worth the effort, but I’m curious why this is limited to only Texas?
The challenge is probably only open to teams in Texas because it is sponsored by a company in Texas (and they wanted it to be open only to Texans). It’s not a bad idea to have a way for teams to qualify for worlds other than winning. My only other comment is that this should count towards the Texas Worlds qualification spots.
It is sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission, which only wanted it available to teams from Texas.
The Online Challenges have their own World Championship qualifying spots which do not affect the state or national allocations.
