Thank you to Hardin County School- EC3 ( From Hai Sing 8066A)

Dear All,

I would like to use this forum as a platform to show my personal gratitude to Mr Robbins, Principal and Mr Jason for hosting Hai Sing Catholic robotics school teams. I am very amazed by the infrastructure and Vex facilities that EC3 had in their center. Mr Jason had arranged every things such that my 6 teams 8066A/B/C and 8065 A/B/C can fine tuned their robots for the Vex Worlds Events.

On a personal note, i am very thankful to Mr Jason. Thank You!! Without your arrangement and supports, my teams will not be able to do so well in this championship event. I would like to delicate the Robotics Skill Champion and Tournament Champion which 8066A - ATOM and 8066C THOR had won to EC3 also.

I have attached some photos

CONGRATULATIONS!!! and you are welcome. THANK YOU!, for coming and sharing your teams work ethic, culture, STEM program, and what it takes to be a World Champion Team. Our students and myself enjoyed your visit.

The last picture probably deserves the picture online challenge award. So awesome!

Congrats on impressive skills accomplishments!

Thank You. Yeah… that photo is awesome …

Allow me to made this announcement, this is the last championship Hai Sing Catholic is participating in. Having been to four Vex Worlds ( 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015) , we have clinched Champions for 2012, 2013 and 2015. I have decided to step down from competitive robotics and focus more on the education sectors.

For past 7 years, i have been spending alot of my time doing competitive robotics, although we have been champion , but i feel that only a minority group of students benefit from this program. Hence, I would like to shift my focus to education on the Teaching and Learning of STEM using robotics system. I believe through this program, the entire school students will benefit.

Hence, good bye guys. Press on…

Hi Ming, congratulations to all of your teams for both winning the Championship and showing the world what hard work and dedication can accomplish. We have been admiring your teams from 2012 & 2013 both as alliance partners and opponents and had hoped that one day, we could be together in elimination. It was a pleasure to be on the same alliance with 8065C and 323Y. Thor Jr had such an outstanding performance. And the friendships the kids formed! You must be proud of your teams. It is with great sadness to hear Hai Sing will no longer be competing but as a teacher, I understand where you are coming far. If by chance you do come to Hawaii, please let us know. Team 394 Highlands Intermediate, Joan Okai

I am still trying to convince him to try out HS instead. Maybe that will give him (and his teams) the extra motivation to stay on and go for more Worlds…

Good luck

You guys have left some big shoes for future middle school teams to fill, especially in the robot skills challenge. I’ve been watching you compete since Gateway, and your robots have always been extremely impressive. With all that talent, hard work and expertise put into education, I expect we’ll be seeing more great things from Hai Sing students in the future.

Edit:

I for one would love to see what these teams could achieve in the high school division.
