The dancing robot was created and programmed by a 7th grade student. My student reports: It uses four motors. Two of the motors control the wheels and make the robot go forward and backwards. The third motor controls the arm and allows the robot to do more complex dances. The last motor controls the claw. It allows dances to trigger other dances later on by “if: Claw motor= 2 do dance 2. If: Claw motor = 0 do dance 4.” The robot has 2 sensors. The touch LED sensor allows the Robot to display colors adding to the dance atmosphere. The other sensor is the color sensor. It allows you to show the robot colors and have the it change its dance. The dancing robot creates an immersive, interactive dancing experience that allows the audience to help control the dance. Best enjoyed while listening to Pharrell Williams’ “Happy.”
