The front wings we use to push the triballs

When we open the wings, which we operate with pneumatics, and insert the triballs, the wings move inward because of the triballs.
Is there anything that needs to be changed or done software-wise, or should we lock it mechanically?

What kind of pneumatic pistons do you use? Could you provide a picture? The problem could be how close the piston connection point is from the base.

Instead of the cylinder pushing the arm out, have it push spme type of linkage out that locks straight. This way the load from the wings is pushing inline with the linkage that your pneumatics straightened out.

Pneumatics by their nature have give (air is compressible) and therefore do not make a ridgid movement unless your air pressure x area exceeds your other force.
