So, our piston is going slow for our mogo. Idk why but any suggestions ?
Air pressure is a top reason lower air pressure makes the piston slower and less powerful. If not check for air leaks.
Yes, like @prodnotpoke said, it is most likely due to insufficient air pressure going to the actuator.
If you have an air pressure regulator, try adjusting it to allow more air to go through (like my actuator could pick up a mobile goal on 37-45 psi, but setting it to 60 made it reallly fast). I run my mech at around 55 psi for reference, though because I’m not using many other actuators I’ll probably set it higher when I finish building.
If you aren’t using an air pressure regulator, (1) I would highly recommend that you do (leads to much greater consistency and more actuations) and (2) check for air leeks around fittings. Usually you can hear or feel air leaking out of a joint by putting your ear/finger near it.
Could we see a video of your mechanism picking up a mobile goal? And how much psi is your regulator set to?
You probably have an exhaust flow control valve attached to your air cylinder. Theres a little adjusting screw on the flow control valve, unscrew it to speed up the motion of your air cylinder
