A co-worker brought his Spykee in to work and left it. Another co-worker remotely controlled it from home later that night while I was keeping the servers up. It was neat. Control is done via software on a PC (surely entirely possible with VexNET) and the bot’s connection was over wifi. I think this is where VexNET differs, since the two devices are paired together and do some sort of peer 2 peer setup.
Maybe with the 2 advanced brains coming down the line?

At least the wifi web cam portion of this is achievable.
I’ve played around with a Spykee here at IFI as well. While the remotely controlled camera on treads thing is pretty fun - for me that’s where the fun ended. It would be nice to at least be able to change the viewing angle of the camera. I eventually plan on upgrading him with VEX parts
Exciting things are in the works regarding wifi capabilities. Stay tuned…
For me, the exciting thing about the Spykee is that it bonds with an existing wireless network, which means the controller and the robot can literally be anywhere with network access.
The wifi camera is the easiest part of Spykee to duplicate, in fact I was looking at wifi cameras on newegg.com
Edit: Also, I totally agree. My “Spykee” Vex robot would have a movable camera for sure
