Those of you who work with security have you looked into vexnet

I was looking at controlling robots from my laptop through 802.11 (which there are probably C++ libraries for) communication here is some of my base topic:

AFAIK the only VEXnet that used 802.11 were the original black VEXnet USB keys. They switched to a TI-based wireless solution (CC25xx I think) with VEXnet 2.0, and I think that’s what they still use in the VEXnet built into V5.

CC25xx is a 2.4 hz radio frequency but on vex.com it says that the current radios are vexnet 3 does anyone know what communication it is

vexnet 2 and vexnet 3 refers to details of the packet structure we use. Cortex systems were vexnet 2, we made small changes for V5 but had to keep it compatible. No one here, beyond vex staff, is likely to have any accurate details beyond what we have published before, number of channels, robots on a channel etc.
