Any guesses for what Full Volume will look like?
The robots place as many object of different size in containers to maximize the use of the available space…
I also think that it will be a challenge where you have to put a scoring item inside a container with different sizes but there has to be some type of obstacle like a low bar. so something like pitching in
I agree with the placement of objects into a container idea. No shooting robots, but picking up and placing robots. My students thought it would include music, but probably not.
I don’t know what to expect for the endgame; maybe to CAP the volume container with your robot?
“Volume” refers to the… well, volume of a container.
“Full Volume” means that the container has to be filled with water, achieving a fill volume of water.
VEX IQ Water Game
Can’t wait to put 1,000 0x2 pegs into a container with some sort of sealing gasket…
P.S. @DRow @jpearman If you have moderation turned on by topic, might want to check the IQ Full Volume topic, because my previous post went right on with no check (maybe I’m just that special in this one topic, but I doubt it. )
Fixed. Thanks for the heads up.
I like where you’re going with us actually. I feel like of course, it won’t be water but you’ll probably have to put the scoring items to fill up places. I feel like it might be like add it up where you have to try your best to put all of the dehexoblablahblah thingies into the scoring zone to fill the thing up. Another game could be pitching in where you fill the basket with lemons. Maybe if you “fill” up the scoring zone you’ll get extra points.
Why just water?
20char
All those spool and ropes kits have to finally have a cause for them now if we are lifting and dropping in…
How about a game like building a Matryoshka doll? Where there are identical elements of decreasing sizes and they fit in side each other to build a large on?
Perhaps there will be starting bins filled with game elements and they need to be extracted and moved to different bins to score.
The Aliens in Toy Story would call it The Claaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw Game
Something like a claw game to transport objects to a container but then require the skills/logic of Tetris to maximize how they fit would be interesting. I’ll go with that as my guess
That’s a perfect idea. Dump a tub of VRC parts into the middle of the field and the alliance that sorts the most parts into their proper containers wins!! This signature event will have 600 matches and take 10 hours to play.
I feel that you will have get a scoring object into a container and get points if the objects reach a certain lines maybe
Tetris
Probably other stacking game
6x8 field is covered 1/2" deep with dried corn (about 1 bushel). Robots will need to pull up the dried corn and fill two silos at the middle of the field. At the end the silo will be weighed with a -/1 gram accuracy
On the field will be 6 stuffed squirrels made out of corn husks. For each squirrel put into the squirrel cages one at each end of the field, 10 points each.
Slipping and sliding on the dried corn will make for interesting drive trains. Scooping up corn has lots of possibilities.
Finally VEXIQ is 100% recyclable. Container out of VEX parts moves to 2025, husk squirrels and dried corn go into the back yard to feed the birds.
full volume… vex speaker legal???
how many decibels you produce is how many points you get
I think it could be a climbing game as a volume is something used in like wall climbing or rock climbing
Volumes are mostly either wooden, or fiberglass structures built to be used on a rock climbing wall . They can usually be taken down and reset into a gazillion different variations with the accompaniment of standard climbing holds, or sometimes, completely void of them replicating outdoor or other features.
