Our team is planning to thread the 1/8" shafts to create a longer screw. What die size should we get if we want to thread the shaft into #8 - 32 Screw sizes?
You would need an 8-32 die, like this one. You might want to “round” the shafts a bit with a file so they are close to the outside-diameter of an 8-32 screw before trying to cut threads, and you’ll wan’t to use some oil (3-in-1 will work), or at least some WD-40. https://www.amazon.com/Vermont-American-20761-National-Machine/dp/B0002YU6BC/
