Our team just competed at a competition this weekend and had some trouble with how high our intakes were we’re coming back to the drawing board and we figured why not ask for advice on the forums. if you guys have any tips on the placement of intakes we’d love to hear them.
Thanks, 8828A
Can you send pictures?
I see nothing wrong with your current placement. Really the only way to optimize intakes is trial and error.
Keep adjusting until it starts getting better. Then keep going in that direction until its performing to your satisfaction.
What happens when you intake cubes?
Our intakes work fine when Intaking cubes head on but if the cubes are diagonal the bot pushes them away and almost never collects them, this has caused our team to take a long time getting one stack
what tooth sprockets are you guys using?
wait i think thats normal for hinged intakes
You need to analyze the problem for your particular intakes. To me, it sounds like the cubes are hitting the tray before they hit the intakes which probably means your intake don’t stick far enough out, or your intakes are not resting at an optimal angle. Play around with the intake length and angle, or try to get rid of any obstruction (this could mean mounting your tray differently to leave the front open).
