"Torque" Internal Gears

So You know how there are the internal gears turbo high speed and I guess stock which is what the motors come with. I’m suggesting that there should be a “torque” setup.
The argument can be made that just use external gearing, but the same can be made about the other internal gears, but we still have them.
It would be super useful for lifts and other things. Let me know what you guys think.

So you are saying instead of a 1.6:1 or a 2.4:1 for speed you would have an internal gearing such as 1:1.6 or 1:2.4 geared for torque right?

I believe you are missing the motor refurb kit. It comes with standard, turbo and torque gears.

My apologies if my comment wasn’t what you are looking for, but I hope I helped.

Generally stock gears are considere by most teams as the torque set up unless you mean increase the torque ratio using a different gear set than stock.

If you are talking about an internal ratio to reduce the motor more than the current stock torque gearing, that is physically impossible. To do so would require a larger driven gear inside the motor and as you can see in the picture below, there is not enough room for a larger gear.

They would have to also decrease the size of the other gear which would make it very very small and I don’t think it would hold up well in high torque situations if the gears are that thin/small

Yea most torque ratios are achieved with external ratios.
