Is anyone else having issues getting the latest version of Tournament Manager (v2024_25.1.3) to work in MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1?
After installing and running the tournament setup wizard, the Tournament server quits unexpectedly. Equally, if trying to reopen an existing tournament or even connect to a remote server (on a computer which is working correctly), it again quits unexpectedly.
If I install Tournament Manager (v2024_25.1.3) onto an older machine running an older OS (is this case Monterey 12.5.1) it works fine. So my guess is its a compatibility issue with the latest MacOS.
Any advice on how to get the latest version Tournament Manager to run on MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1 would be greatly appreciated.
That’s weird bcuz all of my “test tournaments” work perfectly fine on my 24 inch mac (2021 I think).
- How old is the Mac?
- R u on Apple Beta software?
- On mine, I have the airplay receiver turned off as there used to be a conflict between TM and Airplay, maybe try turning your Airplay Reciever off in settings?
Am using a 2020 M1 MacBook Air running Sonoma 14.6.1
Yes I’d read about the Airplay issue and tried turning that off but no effect.
I’ve found it works fine on a Macbook Air (2015) on Monterey 12.5.1.
Are you running Sonoma 14.6.1 on your machine or something older?
Yea I’m also running 14.6.1
Have you tried deleting EVERYTHING tournament manager from your mac and reinstalling a FRESH copy? Maybe its something with the IP being taken? Maybe ISP is denying it?
Also, check your device diagnostics via the app on macs called “wireless diagnostics” diagnostics? (im not sure if it shows it to you but ik it exists…?)
Thank you for all your ideas and assistance.
I have managed to track down a solution that works.
By changing the region on the MacBook from China to United States, I was able to get Tournament Manager to open on Sonoma 14.6.1.
I don’t know why this works, as I do actually live and work in China, but it works.
Thanks again.
No problem, glad you were able to find it!
Make sure to mark that last reply as the “solution” so that others can also find it.
