5225 won skills. 365 had the highest driver but 5225 had the highest combined score because their programming skills was so far ahead of everyone elseās. Thatās what made 5225 so special that year- they were totally undefeated all of worlds, world champs, and also world skills champs.
Little known fact while Iām fangirling: I was in their division in ITZ and the same judge that interviewed my team interviewed 5225. He recognized me this year at worlds and we talked for a few minutes, and he said 5225 was a finalist for every single award category in the division. They ended up taking home amaze to add onto their division champ, skills champ, and world champ awards. Quite a run!
I feel like the real meme that year was so many people were so against passives and then a passive ended up doing that ^^^. Kinda like this year when double shot speed was so hyped and then 3/4 robots in both national and world finals didnāt even have a double shot. Shows you what we know
