Transition from VEXcode VR to VEXcode IQ

During this season we have been social distancing by having teams of two elementary students (grades 3 to 6). Each meeting one student works on assembling the robot and the other student has been working on learning programming using VEXcode VR. Then during the next meeting we would switch the students’ roles. We have reached the point where the programming students need to make the transition to VEXcode IQ to program their robot for Programming Skills. I put together a short video to help the students with this and I thought other coaches might also like to use it. I hope this helps. Even if your students have not been using VEXcode VR, the VEXcode IQ project in this video would help a beginner student write a simple autonomous program to score in the 2020-2021 VEX IQ Challenge game Rise Above.
