Hello,
Im currently trying to make a trapdoor that opens upward one way and closes the other. It looks like the VEX reveal (Aka. The robot in the a corn field’s Intake.) I have a feeling that not many people know about this, but if you have any ideas that would be great!
Thanks!
Can we have a picture and/or more description?
Are you talking about this reveal by 4082B?
If so, where is the trapdoor mechanism you’re talking about? I’m not sure I see it.
^ perhaps if you mean the direction flip, you can achieve that with a wheel above the disk and a curved piece of plexiglass. Not sure what you mean by trapdoor too lol.
Around 1:00 or 0:50, the main mechanism i am looking for is something that can allow the flywheel fire the same way the intake faces.
I mean just something that allows the flywheel to fire the same way it turns. Idc if its a trapdoor or not, just something that works.

You could use a few things for this.
- The “trapdoor” as you call it. it is not very complex, but requires precise placement to work.
- A 90 degree shooter. This is what BLZ-i uses. you can search it up to see the design. It is simpler than a “Trapdoor”
- You can flip the disc over the intake. This is common in dual intake robots. look at team 1469A’s reveal.
Choose one of these designs to make. There is no best design, it depends on the rest of your robot and your preferences.
